Adam Richardson is an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity within the Computer Information Technologies Program at Lansing Community College (LCC). Adam worked full-time in the IT industry for 16 years prior to transitioning to the academic world. During these years, he developed sophisticated web applications, mobile apps for Android and iOS , and desktop applications. Throughout his work experiences, he actively participated in cybersecurity and UX communities, and as a hobby he explored the "maker culture."
Mr. Richardson received a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in Psychology. He later received a Master of Information Technology from Virginia Tech, where he focused on software engineering, cybersecurity, and machine learning. Additionally, he holds several IT certifications through CompTIA, AWS, Intel, and Stanford University. Mr. Richardson currently teaches a broad range of IT courses at LCC, and he acts as the advisor for the LCC Artificial Intelligence Club. He serves as a current member of the Capital Area Information Technology Cybersecurity Peer Group.
