FVTC’s Focus Magazine profiles IT student
Statistics and numbers can be impressive when showing how the National Convergence Technology Center (CTC) impacts classrooms and students. But it’s always the personal stories that resonate best. Even the no-nonsense members of our Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) sit up and take notice when we deliver a compelling story of how IT education can make a difference and change a student’s future.
Fox Valley Technical College, one of the CTC’s partner schools, recently shared with us a spotlight article in their bi-annual FOCUS magazine. Fox Valley’s program has transformed student Jessica Meshke from someone who considered computers “complicated” to someone with a bright future ahead as a computer technician. It’s the hands-on, workforce-driven community college approach of Fox Valley – not a traditional four-year university – that’s given Jessica what she needs.
