Student Feature: Daquon Brice

Meet Daquon Brice. Heʼs pursuing an Associates Degree in IT with a concentration in User Support at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. It should come as no surprise that he would pursue technology. Even as a kid, Daquon was interested in computers. “I feel like Iʼve grown up in a very interesting period of time where technology has boomed in the last ten, fifteen years,” says Daquon.

Upon searching through many degrees and majors, Daquon found that technology was a promising field with plenty of potential for growth. “It has been a very wide spectrum of online classes that I’ve taken from programming to support to networking.”

Daquon is now a service engineer at Next Step Networking that provides networking, help desk and service support to local small businesses and schools. In the near future, he will be obtaining an A+ Certification and possibly a CCNA. He hopes to one day move to California and work for a company like Google or Apple.
